Star Wars and Nissan fans can come together in excited harmony due to the limited edition Nissan Rogue, which will be made in conjunction with LucasFilm for the new Star Wars film, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.
This new Star Wars film will be hitting the big screen on December 16, 2016, but LucasFilm announced the promotion collaboration earlier this summer in a statement released by the LucasFilm GM:
We are extremely pleased to be working with such a remarkable group of promotional partners for ‘Rogue One. This first in a series of Star Wars standalone films represents an exciting new era for both Star Wars and Lucasfilm, and the partners joining us on this exciting journey have each designed a stellar campaign capturing the spirit and camaraderie of Rogue One
Other than the fact that the Nissan Rogue and the new film happen to share the same name, this is a great move for both companies, considering the Nissan Rogue is not only one of the bestselling Nissan cars at Mentor Nissan, but also all over the country. This limited edition Nissan Rogue will be called the ‘Rogue One Star Wars’ and is thought to render the styling of the 2017 Nissan Rogue Hybrid vehicle. What exactly the car will look like and what it will include is still yet to be known, but we do know it will have some iconic Star Wars badging included on it.
Fans can expect to see the ‘Rogue One Star Wars’ debuted at the famed Los Angeles Auto Show in November, but until then, we can only anticipate what it will be like. Who knows, maybe our Nissan dealers at our Mentor, OH Nissan dealership will be showing off the vehicle on our showroom!
