Our vehicles our Mentor Nissan are meant to serve the eclectic array of residents in Painesville, OH and the close by neighborhoods. From small to large, we have new and pre-owned Nissan cars, such as the Nissan Maxima in many different model years on our lot. One requirement that you may have to think about when picking a new vehicle is the type of drivetrain you are looking for, more specifically, whether or not you would want Rear-Wheel Drive or All-Wheel Drive.

Rear-Wheel Drive

Rear -Wheel Drive is when power is transferred to the rear vehicles, and the rear wheels drive the vehicle forward. RWD is typically more rugged and better used for going over a large amount of bumps or rocky areas. RWD also has better handling due to the fact that all four wheels do not have traction, so the wheels are way more easily maneuvered.

All-Wheel Drive

All-Wheel Drive is when a drivetrain uses the front, rear, and center differential to spread power to all of the wheels on a vehicle. AWD is best for areas that do not have constant severe weather, but have constant weather patterns. AWD is known to have better acceleration due to the power being distributed to all four tires, rather than only two. AWD also tends to have better traction, which fairs better for times that you have to tow a vehicle.

At Mentor Nissan, you can you can find plenty of different preferred drivetrains to make your car buying experience as customized as possible. Vehicles like the 2017 Nissan Rogue are incorporated with AWD, and you can ask our Mentor area Nissan dealers about what other drivetrains that we offer. We hope to see you soon!
